Meghan Markle Launches Lifestyle Brand's Holiday Collection Amidst Royal Hamper Release
The Duchess of Sussex's 'As Ever' brand unveils a 'Hostess Basket' featuring teas, candles, and spreads, mirroring a trend seen with Buckingham Palace's festive offerings.
Meghan Markle has entered the competitive Christmas hamper market with the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever's, 'Holiday Collection.' This new offering includes a 'Hostess Basket' filled with items such as flower sprinkles, two scented candles, and three types of herbal tea. The release comes shortly after Buckingham Palace unveiled its own collection of festive hampers for 2026.
The Duchess of Sussex's basket features a leather As Ever tag and contains peppermint and lemon-and-ginger tea caddies, a trio of spreads, and scented candles. While the exact price for 'The Hostess Basket' has not yet been announced, a similar hosting set from As Ever, 'The Go-To Hostess Gift,' previously retailed for $155 (£117).
Meghan's brand also introduced 'Botanical Confections' chocolate bars in floral flavors like Lavender Honey and Hibiscus Rose, developed in collaboration with Los Angeles-based brand Compartes. Earlier iterations of these chocolates cost $12 (£9) per bar. Additionally, the collection includes a 'Keepsake Double-Deck Parlour Card Set' bearing the As Ever logo.
The Duchess announced the upcoming festive range via a newsletter to subscribers, titled 'Merriment in the making.' The newsletter teased 'pieces to share, savour, gift, and make part of your own traditions.' The first chapter of the Holiday Collection opened for orders on October 6th.
This launch follows Meghan's pre-orders for a chocolate advent calendar, available exclusively in the U.S. The calendar, described as 'inspired by her Montecito home and garden,' features an illustration of the mansion she shared with Prince Harry. It includes flavors like strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and orange marmalade, along with a special chocolate finished with Meghan's own flower sprinkles. The advent calendar is priced at $148 (£112).
Buckingham Palace has also released its own selection of holiday items. The 'Sweet Treats' Hamper, one of eight royal hampers, retails for £70 and includes chocolate chip shortbread biscuits, clotted cream fudge, salted caramel chocolate, chocolate bars, and hot chocolate. An unfilled, customizable hamper from the Palace starts at £45.
The Royal Collection Trust announced its Christmas Shop would return to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace starting November 13. New additions to the Palace Shop include hand-finished tree decorations, such as a corgi wearing a crown, and new hampers like the 'Royal Festive Pantry' range. The Palace also offers a customizable advent calendar starting at £25, with surprises sold separately, including chocolate coins, honey, hand cream, and a bag charm.
