Meghan Markle is 'Getting Booked' for TV and Reality Projects, Former Agent Says
Ari Emanuel, who no longer personally represents the Duchess of Sussex, stated that his agency is arranging new television and reality show opportunities for her.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is actively securing opportunities in reality television and other TV projects, according to her former Hollywood super-agent Ari Emanuel.
Emanuel, who heads the William Morris Endeavor (WME) Group, confirmed that while he no longer personally represents Markle, his agency continues to book her for various entertainment ventures. He explained his decision to step back from direct representation by citing his demanding professional schedule, which includes running TKO Group and managing numerous clients.
"I just had a lot on my plate," Emanuel told Megyn Kelly in a recent interview. "And it was better to let them deal with her and execute against her needs and her desires. And I'm happy that everybody's doing it for me."
Markle signed with WME in April 2023, with the initial aim of promoting content production and brand partnerships. Despite Emanuel's departure from her personal representation, WME continues to work with the Duchess on projects, particularly those related to her and Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation.
Reports of WME potentially dropping Markle surfaced earlier in the year, but the agency maintained its working relationship with her. Emanuel's memoir, "Roll the Calls," also touched upon his professional relationships, with ghostwriter John Moehringer having previously worked on Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare."
Emanuel, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry and the inspiration for the fictional agent Ari Gold in the HBO series "Entourage," founded the Endeavor talent agency in 1995. The agency later merged with WMA in 2009.
This news comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been involved in various public engagements since their return to the UK. The couple recently visited a youth and community charity in Nottingham for their first joint engagement since their return to the country.
