Meghan Markle exhibited a notable shift in body language at a recent gala honoring music mogul David Foster, according to body language expert Judi James. James described the Duchess of Sussex as "shapeshifting from childlike to confident" throughout the event, held in Victoria, British Columbia, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The David Foster Foundation.

In observations shared with the Daily Mail, James noted that Markle appeared to embody two contrasting personas. Initially, she displayed what James termed "childlike moves" and a desire to be liked, characterized by glancing back at cameras and covering her mouth in a "giggily cut-off ritual." James referred to this as "broken wing" helplessness, suggesting a playful shyness.

This demeanor transitioned as Markle approached the red carpet. James stated that the Duchess then switched to a "regal, professional director-host mode." This shift was signaled by a slight pursing of the lips, a straighter back, and a raised chin, indicating increased confidence. In this mode, Markle was observed gesturing to David Foster and his wife, Katharine McPhee, guiding them into a posed photograph.

James also commented on an interaction where Harry appeared to lean back to speak with Foster. According to the expert, Meghan responded by pulling Harry closer and laughing, an action James interpreted as an effort to "negate any suggestion of rebellion and a lack of manners."

Meghan Markle, 45, and Prince Harry, 41, attended the event, with Markle wearing Princess Diana's diamond and sapphire earrings. She was dressed in a black one-shouldered gown by Canadian designer Greta Constantine. The couple has known Foster and McPhee for some time, having been previously pictured with them and even staying at a friend's mansion arranged by Foster in 2019.

David Foster founded his organization in 1986 to provide financial support for children needing life-saving organ transplants and to raise awareness for organ donation in Canada and the United States.
