Meghan Markle Could Host Magic Radio Show, Prince Harry Suggests
The Duke of Sussex indicated his wife's fondness for the station, telling a presenter, 'We're going to have to have a word.'
Prince Harry has suggested that his wife, Meghan Markle, could host a show on Magic Radio, responding to an on-air question from presenter Gaby Roslin. The conversation took place last night at the WellChild Awards in London, where Harry was a guest.
When asked if he or Meghan would be interested in taking to the microphone at the station, Harry replied, "We haven't talked about it - I can take this back to her." Roslin, who co-hosted the event with the Duke, then proposed that Markle could present her own Christmas show.
Meghan has previously expressed her fondness for Magic Radio, stating in her Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' that it was one of the things she missed most about living in the UK. During an episode, she was playfully teased by guest Tan France about listening to the station, to which she responded, "I'll be that grandma."
During the interview at the awards ceremony, Harry gestured towards an individual and asked Roslin if he was her boss. Roslin identified him as "Paul," whom Harry then engaged with, saying, "We're going to have to have a word. Not just for now, but for all the years. Finally you've come. We need to have a serious conversation."
Paul Sylvester, Magic Radio's content director, had previously stated in 2025 that "The offer is on the table: if the Duchess wants to host a show, she's very welcome." He later issued a statement confirming that the station "love[s] that Meghan is a big fan of the station. We've been in [touch] with her team and offered her a show, if she ever wanted one. Everyone is welcome to the Magic Radio party."
Meghan did not accompany Prince Harry to the WellChild Awards, an event celebrating seriously ill children and their families. Her absence from public events has continued since the couple's return to the UK last month. Harry also attended Invictus Games-related events in London and Birmingham last week without his wife.
Last night, the Duke became emotional as he addressed the parents caring for seriously ill children. He was supported by Roslin, with whom he had a similar moment during a speech in 2019. As she offered comfort, Harry remarked, "It's happening again," to which Roslin responded playfully, "That doesn't help, that makes it worse."
