Meghan Markle recently shared a casual photo on her Instagram Stories showcasing her style, which included J.Crew's iconic Rollneck Sweater. The Duchess of Sussex paired the classic knit with Anine Bing jeans and Veronica Beard loafers while out shopping for flowers.

This particular sweater, which debuted in 1988, has long been a popular item, also recently worn by Martha Stewart. The piece is described as an effortless layer capable of elevating nearly any outfit. J.Crew has expanded the rollneck concept into a broader collection that includes cardigans and linen options.

While some striped versions of the sweater are priced higher, the solid-colored options start at under $100. The sweater is available in multiple colors and two distinct silhouettes, named for the years they were introduced: 1988 and 2025. The 2025 version offers a slightly slimmer fit compared to the original.

Markle was seen wearing the 1988 style, while Stewart opted for the 2025 version. The 1988 Rollneck Sweater is considered unisex. The design features a signature rollneck, dropped shoulders, and a thick rib detail on the neck and cuffs.

Markle has frequently incorporated J.Crew pieces into her wardrobe, favoring the brand's button-down shirts, sweaters, and tops, which align with her
