Meghan Markle and Malala Yousafzai Share Dinner in London

Meghan Markle was seen enjoying a dinner with Malala Yousafzai in London, marking the Duchess of Sussex's first public outing in the city since her recent return to the United Kingdom. The two were photographed at Claridge’s, a luxury hotel in Mayfair.

A video shared online captured a group of friends toasting with wine glasses, with Markle and Yousafzai visible dining together in the background. The TikTok user who shared the video captioned it, "POV: Claridge’s decided to seat Meghan Markle and Malala in front of you."

Markle, 45, and Yousafzai, 29, appeared engaged in conversation across the table. The Duchess wore a white long-sleeved shirt, while Yousafzai was seen in a beige coat.

Markle and Yousafzai have a history of connection, having first met in 2020 during a virtual discussion hosted by the Malala Fund. Their conversation focused on the International Day of the Girl, educational barriers for girls, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students globally. Following their 2020 meeting, Yousafzai tweeted, "Meghan and I are on the same page: we both believe that when girls have access to education, everyone wins." She also expressed gratitude to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their conversation about "the future of our world."

This dinner marks Markle's first appearance in London since she, Prince Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, relocated to the UK. The couple moved back to England in late August, reportedly to be closer to King Charles III, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and to foster stronger family relationships for their children.

Since arriving in the UK, Markle has been seen on a few occasions. Earlier in October, she met with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi at a pub near Burford, Oxfordshire. Last week, she and Prince Harry were observed holding hands during a visit to a pub in the Cotswolds.
