Meghan Markle and her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are reportedly expected to join Prince Harry in the United Kingdom this weekend. Harry, who arrived in London earlier this week, has been undertaking a five-day tour of Britain, which included engagements in Birmingham.

The Duchess of Sussex, who had been expected to support Harry at an Invictus Games event in Birmingham on Thursday, is now reportedly not attending that event. While the family's arrival is anticipated by the weekend, sources indicate that Meghan and the children are not expected to participate in any public engagements during their stay. The Sussexes have reportedly opted to stay at Althorp, the ancestral home of Harry's maternal family, for the duration of their visit. This choice aligns with Harry's stated concerns about security, which he has previously cited as a reason for not bringing his family to London.

Prince Harry's current visit is partly to mark the 'One Year to Go' celebrations for the Invictus Games, scheduled to be held in Birmingham in July 2027. On Thursday, he visited Birmingham Children's Hospital to mark the 20th anniversary of the hospital’s WellChild Nurse programme. As patron of the charity for 18 years, Harry toured the wards and spoke with seriously ill children and nurses. He highlighted the program's work in helping children transition from hospital to home care and noted the "financial difficulties" facing the National Health Service.

During his hospital visit, Harry shared anecdotes about his son Archie's love for Lego, describing him as a "master builder." He also met with nurses and patients, posing for photographs and thanking the medical staff for their work. Earlier in the week, Harry was in London for meetings related to the Invictus Games Foundation, including a summit for international team managers to discuss plans for the Invictus Spirit Awards in September. Meanwhile, other members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, have continued with their public engagements, with William visiting Hastings on Thursday.

This potential visit would mark Meghan's first return to the UK since 2022. Discussions regarding a potential meeting between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, are reportedly ongoing, with possibilities for a meeting this weekend or early next week before the King resumes his scheduled engagements.
