Country music artist Megan Moroney was forced to stop her concert in Denver, Colorado, on [Date Not Specified] after falling ill just two songs into her set. The 28-year-old singer became visibly upset, tears welling up as she announced to the Ball Arena audience that she was too sick to continue.

"This is obviously the last thing I want to do, but I am obviously extremely sick, and I thought I did everything to make myself better and then obviously two songs in, I just can't play this show tonight," Moroney told the crowd, her voice hoarse, according to fan footage shared on social media. She promised to reschedule the show, stating, "I will make it up to you guys. I absolutely promise I'll be back. You'll be able to come. But I wanna give you guys the show you deserve."

The audience responded with cheers of encouragement as Moroney expressed her apologies.

Moroney is currently on her Cloud 9 Tour. Her cancellation comes amid a recent trend of country music artists stepping away from touring for various reasons.

Kacey Musgraves recently canceled three upcoming shows without public explanation. Zach King announced a pause in his performances to grieve the sudden death of his father. Taylor Holder cited ongoing mental health struggles as the reason for canceling his shows in May. Meghan Patrick rescheduled tour dates due to her pregnancy, prioritizing her health and that of her baby.

Other artists have also taken breaks. Jake Worthington alluded to personal struggles requiring him to "work on myself." Randall King announced a pause to focus on his family, faith, and health, stating he was seeking professional help. Chase Rice announced in January that he would be taking 2026 off the road after 13 years of touring, citing exhaustion and a need to live life for inspiration. In July, Justin Moore shared that he had completed a 30-day stint in rehab to address issues with alcohol consumption.
