Megan Fox Feels 'Relieved' Machine Gun Kelly Has Moved On with Dakota Johnson

Megan Fox is reportedly feeling a sense of relief regarding her ex-fiancé Machine Gun Kelly's new relationship with Dakota Johnson. A source close to Fox told Page Six that the actress is happy to see Kelly moving on and does not wish to revisit their past romance.

"Megan isn’t just unbothered by MGK dating Dakota — she’s actually relieved he’s moving on," the source stated. "She genuinely wants him to find happiness with someone else because she’s totally done with that chapter of her life. She doesn’t want him back, and she doesn’t want to keep revisiting their relationship."

Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, share a daughter, Saga Blade, born in March 2025. The source indicated that while they maintain a positive co-parenting relationship, Fox desires a clear separation in their romantic lives.

"They have a daughter together, so obviously he’s always going to be part of her life, and they have a good co-parenting relationship," the insider explained. "But that’s where it ends for her. She wants them to be great parents without any confusion about where they stand romantically."

The source also suggested that Fox's relief is partly due to Kelly's past flirtatious behavior toward her after their breakup. In March, Kelly commented on Fox's Instagram post, stating, "Stoked i have your phone number." The insider noted that this behavior felt like an attempt to gain Fox's attention.

"From Megan’s perspective, it’s like, ‘We tried, it didn’t work, and I’ve moved on.’ She doesn’t want to keep going through that back and forth," the source said.

Fox reportedly hopes that Kelly's new relationship with Johnson will shift his focus away from their past.

"If anything, she’s hoping being with Dakota means MGK will finally put his romantic energy into someone else instead of focusing on Megan," the source added. "It’s not that she has anything against Dakota. Actually, it’s the opposite. Megan genuinely hopes things work out between them because she wants MGK to be happy. She just doesn’t want to be the person he’s trying to have a romantic relationship with anymore."

Machine Gun Kelly and Dakota Johnson first sparked dating rumors in September, and were later reported to have spent time together at Taylor Swift's apartment before a dinner outing. Most recently, MGK was reported to have spent the night at Johnson's Los Angeles home. Johnson previously dated Chris Martin, with whom she reportedly split in 2025.

Fox and Machine Gun Kelly ended their engagement in 2024, during which time Fox was pregnant with their child.
