Meg Ryan and Son Jack Quaid Appear Together at Museum Gala

Meg Ryan, 64, recently stepped out with her son, Jack Quaid, 34, for the opening night gala of the Narrative Art Museum. Ryan and Quaid, whose father is actor Dennis Quaid, were photographed together at the event on Saturday night.

Ryan wore a sleeveless black dress with a monochrome floral pattern, accessorizing with dark sunglasses and her signature blonde bob. Quaid appeared in a double-breasted grey suit, white shirt, and a patterned tie.

Ryan is also mother to 22-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she adopted from China in 2006.

In July 2024, Jack Quaid addressed his status as a "nepo baby," telling the Daily Beast that he is an "extremely privileged person" and acknowledged that his career had an easier start due to his connections. He stated, "I knew the door was open for me in a lot of ways that it's just not for a lot of actors. And I've just tried to work as hard as I possibly can to prove that I deserve to walk through that door."

Meg Ryan had previously defended her son against the "nepo baby" label in a December 2023 interview with Glamour magazine. She described Quaid as "really talented" and "more of a natural than I'll ever be," adding that the label was "dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege."

Quaid responded to his mother's comments by saying she was being a "loving mom" but clarified that he doesn't believe she was denying his "nepo baby" status. He explained, "I think she's just trying to say that, in her opinion, it undermines my talent." Quaid, however, stated, "I don't think it undermines my talent. I know that I work hard, and I know I've heard 'no' way more than I've heard 'yes.' But I also know that this industry is insanely hard to break into, and I had an easier time doing that than most. Both things can be true."

Jack Quaid made his film debut in 2012's "The Hunger Games" and has since appeared in "Scream" (2022), "Oppenheimer" (2023), and the series "The Boys." His upcoming project is the comedy "Close Personal Friends," where he will star alongside Henry Golding, Brie Larson, and Lily Collins.

Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid were married in 1991 and divorced in 2001. They have since maintained a friendly relationship, reportedly reuniting for Quaid's wedding earlier this year.
