Medication, Saliva Found at Scene of AEW Star Pac's Death

Wrestling star Benjamin Satterley, known professionally as Pac in AEW, was found deceased in a rental car in an Illinois restaurant parking lot last month, according to police reports. Authorities observed saliva on the front of Satterley's shirt and medication in his vehicle at the scene.

The Des Plaines Police Department noted these observations in an incident report after discovering Satterley in the vehicle outside a CAVA restaurant around 4 p.m. on September 27. A search of Satterley's pockets and backpack did not yield any significant findings. The type of medication found in the car was redacted in the documents.

Investigators found that Satterley's cellphone was still running Google Maps, which was routing him to O'Hare Airport. The report also indicated that Satterley's phone received calls, and upon answering one, a woman on the line stated she knew him. According to the police report, she informed authorities that she had last spoken to Satterley around 1:20 p.m. He had reportedly told her he was going to CAVA for lunch.

The woman also stated that Satterley had been traveling for his profession as a professional wrestler for three weeks across the United States and had been in the Chicago area since September 24 or 25. His flight back to the UK was scheduled for approximately 3:30 p.m., but it had been delayed. The incident report noted that there were no obviously suspicious marks on Satterley nor suspicious circumstances within the vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office stated last week that the cause of death is pending further testing following an initial autopsy. Satterley had competed in an AEW match against Andrade at the NOW Arena in Chicago the night before his death. He was 40 years old.
