Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 Release Date, Cast, and Plot Details
The acclaimed Paramount+ series is set to conclude with its fifth season, with production recently wrapping.
Production on the fifth and final season of Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon's "Mayor of Kingstown" recently concluded in early July. While an official release date has not yet been announced, speculation suggests the season could premiere on Paramount+ in December 2026 or early 2027. This timing follows the production schedule of the previous season, which wrapped in June 2025 and debuted in October 2025.
The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes and will feature new cast members. David Morse is joining the series as Russell Hardy, a seasoned FBI agent whose arrival in Kingstown threatens the established power dynamics following the murder of a key, unrevealed character. Nestor Carbonell will also appear as Enrique Molina, a figure who arrives in Kingstown seeking to avenge a missing relative.
"Mayor of Kingstown," which originally premiered on Paramount+ in November 2021, stars Jeremy Renner in the lead role. All four existing seasons of the series are now available for streaming on Netflix, making it easier for viewers to catch up before the final installment.
Paramount+ offers two subscription tiers: Essential, which is ad-supported at $8.99 per month, and Premium, which is ad-free and includes Showtime titles and live CBS content for $13.99 per month. Both plans offer free trials for new subscribers. The service can also be added to Hulu or Amazon accounts for $13.99 per month. Additionally, Paramount+ is available for purchase on YouTube for $10.99 per month for the first three months, with a free trial also offered.
