The final season of the Jeremy Renner-led drama is expected to premiere on Paramount+ in late 2026 or early 2027, with multiple seasons also hitting Netflix.
Production has concluded on the fifth and final season of the Paramount+ drama "Mayor of Kingstown." The series, starring Jeremy Renner, is anticipated to debut on the streaming service in December 2026 or early 2027.
The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes. The plot for Season 5 follows FBI agent Russell Hardy, portrayed by David Morse, who arrives in Kingstown in the wake of the murder of Mike McClusky's sister-in-law. Hardy's presence is set to disrupt the existing power dynamics within the city.
Joining Morse in the final season are returning cast members Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia, and Lennie James. Nestor Carbonell has also joined the cast as Enrique Molina, described as a boss who travels to Kingstown seeking vengeance for a missing relative.
Season 4 of "Mayor of Kingstown" wrapped production in early June 2025, with its season premiere on October 26, 2025. The conclusion of production for Season 5 in early July suggests the show is on track for its estimated release window.
For viewers without a Paramount+ subscription, multiple seasons of "Mayor of Kingstown" will become available on Netflix starting October 5. Paramount+ offers two subscription tiers: Essential, which is ad-supported, and Premium, which is ad-free and includes Showtime titles and live CBS. Both plans are available with monthly or annual payment options, and new subscribers may be eligible for a free trial.
