‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 5 Production Concludes, Final Season Expected Early 2027

Production for the fifth and final season of the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown has concluded, with the final episodes expected to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027. The announcement comes after the series, co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, was renewed for its concluding season in January 2026.

The upcoming season, comprising eight episodes, will focus on FBI agent Russell Hardy, portrayed by new series regular David Morse. Hardy's arrival in Kingstown follows the murder of a key character and is expected to disrupt the existing power dynamics within the city.

Filming for the final season wrapped in early July. For context, the fourth season concluded production in June 2025 and premiered on October 26, 2025. The earlier seasons of Mayor of Kingstown recently became available on Netflix, introducing the series to a wider audience. However, the fifth season will not be available on Netflix until a significant period after its Paramount+ debut.

New cast members joining for the final season include David Morse as Agent Hardy and Nestor Carbonell as Enrique Molina, described as a boss seeking to avenge a missing relative. The series stars Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco.

Paramount+ offers two subscription plans: Essential, at $8.99 per month, and Premium, at $13.99 per month. Both plans are available with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. The service can also be accessed through Hulu and Amazon accounts.

Mayor of Kingstown originally debuted on Paramount+ in November 2021.
