Mayfair Club Shut Down for a Month Over Safety Concerns

Maison Estelle, a high-end club in London's Mayfair, has been ordered to close for 28 days due to a "serious public safety matter," according to the Metropolitan Police.

The club, which counts celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Noel Gallagher, Kim Kardashian, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Fergie among its members, was informed of the license suspension after a private hearing with the Metropolitan Police and Westminster City Council.

A spokesperson for Maison Estelle confirmed the closure, stating, "The safety of our staff, our members and their guests will always come first." The club alerted its members, who pay an annual subscription of £4,250, that it would be closed for "a few weeks."

The Metropolitan Police applied to Westminster Council to review the venue's license on the grounds that the premises is associated with serious crime or serious disorder. A further hearing is scheduled to take place in due course.

Maison Estelle, housed in a 1772 townhouse, offers members three restaurants, ten bars, and a nightclub. Founders Sharan Pasricha and Eiesha Mittal, daughter of billionaire Sunil Mittal, aim to provide a relaxing environment for their patrons.

The closure comes shortly after Kim Kardashian was seen dining at the club with friends.
