The upscale Mayfair club Maison Estelle has had its alcohol license suspended by Westminster City Council, a decision made in the interest of public safety. The suspension followed an application by the Metropolitan Police related to allegations of a weapon being present at the venue. The club did not oppose the police's application during a hearing.
A spokesperson for Maison Estelle stated that the safety of staff, members, and guests is paramount. The club is cooperating with Westminster City Council and the police as it reviews its licensing conditions and procedures. A full hearing to review the license is scheduled to take place within 28 days.
Maison Estelle, located in a Georgian townhouse, features seven floors including four dining rooms, 11 bars, and multiple nightlife spaces. Annual membership to the club costs £5,950.
