Maya Jama's 'Dramatic Coat' Sparks Memes on Celebrity Traitors Finale

During the grand finale of "Celebrity Traitors" on Friday, host Maya Jama's striking fashion choice drew significant attention and online commentary. Viewers took to social media to mock the voluminous coat she wore as she arrived for breakfast, with comparisons ranging from an "air conditioning unit" to the "tube of the back of a tumble dryer."

This was not the first time Jama's wardrobe has been a talking point. Earlier in the series, she was likened to the Honey Monster character after wearing a mustard-colored, feathered coat with notably wide shoulders. Social media reactions included comments such as, "Maya's gone from being the Honey Monster to being a portable air con unit" and "Is Maya wearing an air conditioning duct?"

Jama, 32, addressed the online chatter by posting on X (formerly Twitter), "It was cold as hell in the castle ok?" followed by a swan emoji, suggesting the dramatic outerwear was a necessity due to the temperature.

Season Climax and Traitor Revelations

Amidst the fashion commentary, the finale also saw significant plot developments within the show. Actor Michael Sheen was eliminated as the two remaining Traitors, Jama and "King" Kenny, plotted their final move. Sheen was identified as a potential Traitor by Jama in the previous episode, leading to his removal.

"He's too authoritative on that table. It's time for him to go," Kenny remarked about Sheen during their discussion in the turret.

The episode also addressed the "absolute chaos" caused by comedian James Acaster's unexpected confession in a previous round table. Acaster revealed he had been made a Traitor against his will, an admission that stunned the other contestants and significantly altered the game's dynamics.

Prior to Acaster's confession, Jama and Kenny found themselves under scrutiny. During Thursday night's episode, the remaining contestants linked Jama to the "murder" of fellow participant Ross Kemp. Jama defended herself against the accusations.

Her co-Traitor, Kenny, also made a slip-up during a round table discussion, inadvertently revealing his Traitor status. While accusing Michael, he stated, "As a Traitor myself I would have got rid of you already, so that's my red flag on you." The comment drew a surprised reaction from contestant Sebastian Croft.

Another notable moment involved Jama seemingly referring to elimination as "killing em" before quickly correcting herself to "banishing them" during a toast at breakfast. She later explained on X that her fatigue was causing her words to slip.

Jama's fashion choices, while a source of amusement for viewers, occurred against the backdrop of intense strategic play and dramatic eliminations that culminated in the "Celebrity Traitors" finale.
