Maya Jama's Dramatic Coat Draws Mockery and Comparisons During 'Celebrity Traitors' Finale

During the grand finale of "Celebrity Traitors," host Maya Jama drew attention and amusement from viewers for her choice of a dramatic coat as she arrived for breakfast.

The Love Island host's wardrobe has been a notable element throughout the show, with previous outfits eliciting comparisons to the "Honey Monster" and Big Bird. On Friday, her latest ensemble led to comparisons to an "air conditioning duct" and the "tube of the back of a tumble dryer."

Social media platforms, particularly X, were abuzz with viewers sharing their humorous takes. Comments ranged from "Maya's gone from being the Honey Monster to being a portable air con unit" to observations about the coat resembling "an air conditioning unit?" and even "a Christmas decoration."

This latest fashion moment follows a mustard-colored, feathered coat with wide shoulders that previously earned her the "Honey Monster" moniker, alongside comparisons to The Lorax and Bungle the bear from "Rainbow."

Jama herself responded to the fashion commentary, posting on X, "It was cold as hell in the castle ok?" followed by a swan emoji, suggesting the dramatic attire was a practical choice for the show's filming location.

The finale also saw the dramatic conclusion of the game itself, with Michael Sheen being murdered as the two remaining Traitors, Jama and King Kenny, plotted their final move. Sheen, an actor, was selected as the final kill after he had identified Jama as a Traitor in the previous episode. He expressed his disappointment at getting so close to the end but acknowledged the unforgettable experience.

During their strategic meeting, Kenny, a fellow Traitor, justified the decision to eliminate Sheen, stating, "He's too authoritative on that table. It's time for him to go."

The finale's events were further complicated by the revelation of Traitor James Acaster in the previous episode. Acaster's unexpected confession had caused "absolute chaos," as Jama and Kenny discussed during their meeting. His admission had led Faithfuls, including Michael, to believe Jama was betraying them. Jama had defended herself against these accusations, particularly after being linked to the murder of Ross Kemp.

Acaster's decision to reveal his Traitor status was prompted by mounting pressure. He had initially expressed a desire to be a Faithful and had struggled with the role of a Traitor. His confession led to him being voted out by the other contestants, but he stated that a "weight has been lifted off his shoulders."

Jama and Kenny also made subtle slip-ups that went unnoticed by the Faithfuls. During a toast, Jama inadvertently said, "To killing em," before quickly correcting herself to "Banishing them even." She later explained on X that she was tired and the "and the Traitor was dropping out of me." Another moment involved Kenny revealing his Traitor status while accusing Michael, stating, "As a Traitors myself I would have got rid of you already," a comment that raised eyebrows from Sebastian Croft.
