Maya Jama Returns to 'Happy Weight' After Weight Loss Concerns

Maya Jama has announced she is back to her 'happy weight,' sharing a collection of summer photographs on social media. Earlier this year, the Love Island presenter expressed concern about being 'naturally skinny' and revealed she had lost significant weight due to a severe case of food poisoning.

Jama, 32, posted to Instagram with a series of images, including one of her reclining on a sun lounger and another in a form-fitting dress. She stated that she had gained weight following the dramatic loss and had returned to her preferred weight.

In March, Jama discussed her preference for a fuller figure, mentioning plans to incorporate weight training and adjust her eating habits. She noted that while some associate slimness with weight loss medications like Ozempic, others, like herself, are naturally slender and desire a 'thicker body.' She acknowledged the difficulty for those trying to gain weight.

Jama previously shared workout tips, stating in January that squats, push-ups, and kickbacks with ankle weights had significantly improved her strength and fitness. She highlighted squats for their effectiveness on the glutes, push-ups for core strength, and kickbacks for toning. Her fitness routine includes strength training with personal trainer Warren Whitely and reformer Pilates. She also mentioned incorporating more activity into her daily life, such as taking the stairs and dancing at home.

Alongside her personal updates, Jama has been involved in the release of her role in Guy Ritchie's crime drama, 'The Gentlemen.' Her character, Aisha, is introduced early in the series as a shrewd associate with connections to royalty, appearing at a shooting weekend with Prince Amir.
