Maya Jama recently made her first American television appearance on "Good Morning America" during a trip to New York City. The ITV host, 31, shared photos from her visit to the Big Apple on Instagram, showcasing a leather outfit with a peekaboo cutout, paired with black heels and silver jewelry.

Jama's trip to the U.S. also coincided with reports that she has held preliminary discussions with ITV executives about potentially replacing Emma Willis as the host of "The Voice UK." These discussions reportedly took place shortly after Willis secured a hosting role for "Strictly Come Dancing." The potential move to "The Voice UK" would mark a significant primetime role for Jama, whose previous show, "Walk The Line," was canceled in 2022.

Sources suggest that ITV is awaiting Jama's decision, as she has also received interest from American television networks. "There have been a lot of approaches to Maya from various networks, including ITV, and shows in the UK and Stateside," a source told The Sun. "The Voice producers and her did have meetings but because of her other commitments the conversation didn't progress."

She captioned the post: 'Talking around New York in leather'

Jama's visit to the U.S. was also to promote her role in Guy Ritchie's upcoming crime comedy, "The Gentlemen," marking her major acting debut. In addition to hosting "Love Island UK," she has been filming "Celebrity Traitors UK."

Meanwhile, "The Voice UK" has faced its own scheduling and lineup uncertainties. Reports indicate that McFly members Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones may not return as coaches due to extensive commitments, including Fletcher's work on "Paddington: The Musical" in New York and their studio work on a new McFly album. The 14th series of "The Voice UK" has already experienced delays, with auditions filmed in 2024. ITV also recently issued an apology to a Manchester-based baker after crew members reportedly requested free food for celebrity guests, stating that steps have been taken to prevent such requests in the future.
