Maxx Crosby Vows Loyalty to Raiders Amid Trade Speculation
Star defensive end expresses desire to remain with Las Vegas for his entire career.
Maxx Crosby has made it clear that he does not wish to be traded away from the Las Vegas Raiders and intends to remain with the team, according to reports. Despite past trade rumors and drama, Crosby's hope is to be a Raider for life.
The defensive end's commitment comes after a tumultuous end to the previous season, where he was sidelined with a knee injury. Reports indicated he left the team facility amid speculation about draft positioning. Last year, Crosby recorded 10 sacks and earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl selection. Through seven games in the current 2026 season, he has accumulated two sacks.
The Raiders have experienced a mixed start to the season, winning their first three games before losing four consecutive contests. The team has continued to start veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who leads the league with 16 touchdown passes, over rookie Fernando Mendoza, selected first overall. Mendoza is not expected to start for at least another week.
While other teams can still inquire about Crosby, the Raiders are reportedly not expected to alter their stance on trading him. This news follows significant player movement around the league, with defensive tackles Jeffery Simmons and DeForest Buckner recently being traded to the Bears and 49ers, respectively.
The Raiders' upcoming schedule includes matchups against the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos, and Browns before their bye week.
