Actress Maura Tierney has purchased a three-bedroom loft in Chelsea’s Gallery District for $5.98 million. The deal for the unit at the Spears Building, a 30-unit condo at 525 W. 22nd St., closed on July 7.

The loft was initially listed for $6.4 million in March. Tierney, known for her roles as Dr. Abby Lockhart on "ER" and Lisa Miller on "NewsRadio," was represented by Michael Russell of Corcoran. The sellers were represented by Will Wade, Mick Distasio, and John Dugan of Brown Harris Stevens.

The building, originally constructed in 1880 as a furniture warehouse, was converted into condominiums in 1996. The 3,033-square-foot loft retains many of its historic industrial features, including exposed brick, heavy timber beams and columns, and wood plank ceilings. It also boasts 13 oversized windows.

The unit features a 42-foot great room with a woodburning fireplace, a media room, a study, and a kitchen with a 178-bottle wine fridge. The primary suite includes a walk-in closet and extensive storage. The property also includes a private storage room and its own laundry room.

Building amenities include a full-time doorman, a bike room, and a landscaped roof deck. The location provides proximity to Chelsea's art galleries, Hudson River Park, and the High Line.
