Matthew McConaughey continues to benefit from his 2003 film "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," calling it "the gift that keeps on giving" and his favorite romantic comedy.

Speaking on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast, McConaughey shared that the movie, which also stars Kate Hudson, still provides him with the most "mailbox money" of any film he has made. He noted that the film's popularity, particularly around Valentine's Day, led to larger residual checks each March during the era of DVDs and cable television.

McConaughey has previously discussed his career trajectory, including a period where he intentionally pivoted away from romantic comedies to pursue more dramatic roles. He recounted turning down significant offers, including one for $14.5 million, to shift Hollywood's perception of his acting capabilities. This decision, he believes, signaled to the industry that he was serious about his career change and committed to more dramatic work.
