Matt Shirvington to Host New Channel Seven Game Show

Sunrise co-host Matt Shirvington is set to host a new game show for Channel Seven, the network announced at its upfronts on Thursday. The show, titled "Stacks Of Cash," is described as a "high-stakes entertainment show" that will "supersize the addictive fun of stacking games into nail-biting, play-along fun for the whole family."

The 47-year-old will continue his role on the breakfast program alongside co-host Natalie Barr while also taking on the new hosting gig, which is slated to premiere in 2027. The format for "Stacks Of Cash" was developed by Eureka Studios and the Seven Network.

This latest role adds to an already busy schedule for Shirvington, a former Olympic sprinter. In February, he joined the Cronulla Sharks as their speed coach ahead of the 2026 NRL season. He brings his expertise in acceleration, agility, and top speed to the rugby league team. Shirvington previously worked with the Dragons and Bulldogs in similar coaching capacities.

Shirvington, who competed in the 100m semi-finals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, is known for his speed. He achieved a personal best of 10.03 seconds in the 100m at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He also revealed last October that he was once asked to represent Australia in bobsleigh for the Winter Olympics, an opportunity he declined to focus on his track career for the Sydney Games.
