Matt Damon described entering a "new phase of life" as his daughters mature, speaking at the New York City premiere of his latest film, "The Odyssey," on Tuesday night. Damon, 55, attended the event with his wife, Luciana Barroso-Damon, 49, and their 20-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Damon is a father of four daughters: Isabella, Gia (17), and Stella (15), in addition to Alexia, his wife's daughter from a previous marriage whom Damon adopted. Alexia, 27, works as a cinematographer and has reportedly worked on 12 films. Isabella is currently studying at New York University.

"Having two older kids who are out of the nest and knowing how fast these final years go, we're trying to be mindful of holding onto what we can," Damon told People magazine, reflecting on his children growing up.

At the premiere, Damon, dressed in a blue suit, walked the red carpet hand-in-hand with Isabella, who wore a black slip dress. Barroso-Damon appeared in a white backless gown. Last week, all four daughters joined Damon and his wife for the London premiere of "The Odyssey."

"The Odyssey," directed by Christopher Nolan, is an adaptation of the Greek epic. Damon stars as Odysseus, with Anne Hathaway as Penelope. The film's cast also includes Tom Holland as Telemachus, Zendaya as Athena, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Charlize Theron as Calypso, and Samantha Morton as Circe. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 17.

The film has faced online criticism regarding its casting, with some questioning the inclusion of Black actors in a Greek mythology adaptation and the casting of Elliot Page in a role based on a character from the epic. Nolan's previous project, "Oppenheimer," released in 2023, also starred Damon.
