Matt Bellamy Moves On: Muse Frontman Confirms New Relationship Months After Divorce Filing
The 48-year-old rocker went Instagram official with influencer AnneMarie Morin, 34, just two months after initiating divorce proceedings from his wife, Elle Evans.
Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has confirmed a new romance with American influencer AnneMarie Morin, a mere two months after filing for divorce from his wife, Elle Evans. Bellamy, 48, shared photos on Instagram Thursday, making their relationship public and featuring a kiss with Morin, 34.
Bellamy captioned the post, "new part time job, boss is a tough cookie @cloudcookiechi," while Morin shared images from her visit to Devon, UK, with the musician. The swiftness of this new relationship has drawn attention from fans, with many commenting on the rapid pace following Bellamy's split from model Elle Evans.
In August, Bellamy filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. While the official date of separation is yet to be determined, reports suggest Bellamy and Evans separated last year. Bellamy is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their two children, six-year-old daughter Lovella and two-year-old son George. He also intends to award spousal support to Evans, as stipulated in their prenuptial agreement.
Evans had previously stated in a declaration to TMZ that her marriage to Bellamy had been "unbearable" and that she intended to fight for custody of their children. She described the divorce filing as "a long time coming."
Bellamy and Evans, who began dating 11 years ago after meeting on the set of Muse's "Mercy" music video, married in August 2019 in Malibu. Their daughter Lovella was born in 2020, followed by their son George in 2024. Reports of their separation first emerged last summer, and Bellamy confirmed the news in an interview in June, admitting the separation had "threw me off." He described it as "a set of really unexpected circumstances" that required him to "prioritize looking after the kids and creating stability at home."
Bellamy found catharsis in his band's latest album, "The Wow! Signal," released in June, which he described as a "lifeline" during this period. He stated that for the first time, he felt he had his own "existential crisis" to write about, making the album his easiest to create due to its emotional release.
Bellamy and Evans made their last public appearance together in March 2025 at the MobLand premiere in London. Before his marriage to Evans, Bellamy was engaged to actress Kate Hudson, with whom he shares a 15-year-old son, Bingham.
