Matchbox Twenty Announces 30th Anniversary Tour for 2027

Matchbox Twenty has announced a 30th anniversary tour celebrating the 1996 release of their debut album, "Yourself or Someone Like You." The tour is scheduled to run from April through August 2027, with shows across North America.

The band will perform in stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters, with special guests including The All-American Rejects, The Wallflowers, David Gray, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson, and others on select dates.

Among the announced dates are three performances in the New Jersey and New York area: July 8, 2027, at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey; July 18, 2027, at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York; and July 20, 2027, at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York. All three dates will feature David Gray as a special guest.

Fans can anticipate hearing hits from the band's debut album, such as "Real World," "3AM," "Push," "Back 2 Good," and "Long Day." Other popular songs from their catalog, including "Bent," "If You're Gone," "Unwell," and "How Far We've Come," are also expected to be part of the setlist.

In addition to the anniversary tour, lead singer Rob Thomas will undertake a five-concert solo tour in early 2027 to benefit Sidewalk Angels, a charity supporting animal welfare. His solo dates include stops in Hershey, Bethlehem, and Atlantic City.

Tickets for the Matchbox Twenty tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster. Secondary market options are currently available on sites like Vivid Seats.

Matchbox Twenty's most recent studio album, "Where The Light Goes," was released in 2023. The album featured a departure from their signature sound, incorporating orchestral elements, pianos, and Afrobeats.

The band's debut album, "Yourself or Someone Like You," reached No. 5 on the US Billboard 200 chart and included the tracks "Real World," "Long Day," "3AM," "Push," "Girl Like That," "Back 2 Good," "Damn," "Argue," "Kody," "Busted," "Shame," and "Hang."
