Masked Teen Attacked Schoolgirl with Intent to Kill, Court Hears

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, brought a kitchen knife to Thorpe St Andrew School with the intention of killing a 15-year-old girl, a court has heard. The defendant, now 16, has denied a charge of attempted murder but pleaded guilty to possessing a kitchen knife without lawful authority.

Prosecutors told King's Lynn Crown Court that the boy was captured on CCTV stabbing the girl in the back on March 11. He was reportedly dressed in black and wearing a face mask at the time of the incident. Police were called to the school shortly after 10:24 GMT, around the time parents were gathering at the school gates.

Chris Paxton KC, opening the prosecution's case, stated that the defendant armed himself with the knife and "went to school not to learn, but to kill." Jurors were told the boy was "dressed in black, masked up and tooled up."

Notes found on the defendant indicated he had hateful sentiments towards women, according to court proceedings. The incident led to a significant police response, with officers cordoning off the area around the school.
