Phoenix Phillips was last seen on Friday in downtown Cleveland, according to a Sunday announcement by the Cleveland Division of Police. Authorities have described his disappearance as "concerning."
Phillips, who is from Perryville, Maryland, traveled to the Cleveland area to watch the NFL rivalry matchup. Cleveland police spokesperson Sgt. Freddy Diaz told WEWS that Phillips was in town visiting and became separated from the person he was with. The exact circumstances of his disappearance are still under investigation.
Phillips is described as 6-foot-1, weighing approximately 170 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is known to be a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is why he traveled to Cleveland for the game.
A body was recovered from the Cuyahoga River near Jacobs Pavilion on Tuesday, according to Cleveland 19 News. Officials have not yet confirmed if the discovery is connected to Phillips' case.
