George Horn, 36, of Dundalk, has pleaded guilty to hate crime and vandalism charges for spray-painting swastikas on 12 gravestones at the Ohr Knesseth Israel Anshe Sfard Cemetery in July 2023. Federal prosecutors announced the plea on Tuesday.
Horn admitted to the antisemitic act of damaging the religious property. When apprehended by police, he was caught on video spray-painting two gravestones. Prosecutors stated that Horn possessed a translated copy of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” on his phone, and antisemitic paraphernalia was found in his car and storage unit.
He faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison for the damage to religious property. Horn's sentencing is scheduled for January 14, 2027.
