Maryland Father Vanishes in Cleveland After Steelers-Browns Game

A 24-year-old father from Maryland has gone missing in Cleveland, Ohio, hours after attending the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns football game. Phoenix Phillips was last seen in downtown Cleveland at approximately 6 a.m. Friday, according to a missing-person alert issued by the Cleveland Division of Police.

Police stated that Phillips may be traveling on foot and characterized the circumstances of his disappearance as "concerning." He is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing a gray hoodie, beige pants, and white tennis shoes.

Phillips, a resident of the Baltimore area, traveled to Cleveland with a friend specifically to attend the Thursday night game. He became separated from his friend before his disappearance, police spokesperson Sgt. Freddy Diaz told WEWS-TV. Detectives are actively searching the area where Phillips was last seen, reviewing surveillance footage, and following up on leads to determine his whereabouts.

Members of Phillips' family have since traveled to Cleveland to assist in the search efforts. The organization Cleveland Missing is providing support to the family, distributing flyers, and acting as a liaison with law enforcement.

Anyone with information regarding Phoenix Phillips' whereabouts is urged to contact the Cleveland Division of Police.
