Mary Trump Questions Donald Trump's Relationship With Aide Natalie Harp

Mary Trump, niece of former President Donald Trump, has publicly questioned the nature of her uncle's relationship with White House aide Natalie Harp. In an essay posted to her Substack, Mary Trump, a clinical psychologist and vocal critic of her uncle, raised concerns about the closeness between the former president and Harp, who is reportedly 45 years younger than him.

The scrutiny of Harp's role has intensified following a viral speech line by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) referencing a "travel with Natalie" scenario. Mary Trump highlighted Harp's presence among a small group of individuals who were with Donald Trump when he secretly switched Air Force One aircraft in July, citing concerns over a potential attack by Iran.

"What is she doing there? Why is she with him?" Mary Trump wrote, questioning why Harp was among the select few chosen to be with the former president during a sensitive security situation.

Mary Trump's essay also broadly addressed what she described as her uncle's "long history of making misogynistic comments and attitudes towards women in America at large." She challenged defenders of Donald Trump to explain his relationship with Harp, posing the question: "Why is it that, out of that tiny number of people, he decided that she’s one of four who should not be blown up?"

Mary Trump noted that Harp is reportedly with Donald Trump "practically 24 hours a day," prompting her to question why those on the political right have not raised concerns about this level of proximity.
