Mary Berry's Daughter Sells Oxfordshire Mansion for £3.95 Million

Belles Berry, daughter of television personality Mary Berry, has sold her custom-designed Oxfordshire mansion, Blenheim Farm, for £3.95 million.

The property, located near Ewelme, was listed in May and went under offer within five months. Belles Berry and her husband designed the home in 2020 on the site of a former bungalow.

The mansion overlooks ten acres of countryside and features numerous amenities. These include two kitchens, a champagne chiller, and an Aga oven gifted by her famous mother. Mary Berry was a frequent visitor, having celebrated her 80th birthday at the home and regularly attended Sunday roasts, often bringing dessert.

Blenheim Farm was formerly an alpaca farm, with the family initially residing in the old bungalow upon moving to the site in 2014 before relocating to the barn during the rebuild. Belles Berry described the process of designing the home from scratch as an opportunity to incorporate specific features, such as multiple dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators, and bins.

The main kitchen is complemented by a secondary test kitchen. The home also features a library containing books from Belles Berry's father's antiquarian shop, along with furniture sourced from a French monastery. Belles Berry noted the property as a 'happy house' with 'the wow factor.'

Outdoor spaces were also a significant aspect of the design. The grounds include a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a 60-year-old beech woodland. Mary Berry has assisted her daughter with gardening, including picking fruit from the property's orchard. Belles Berry also mentioned that the rose garden is planted with her mother's favorite roses, Chandos Beauty.

Victoria Knight, head of office at Savills in Henley-on-Thames, commented that the property was designed to 'maximise its scenic setting and bring the outside in.' She added that the amenities, including the two kitchens, swimming pool, tennis court, and games room, make it ideal for family life and large-scale entertaining.
