Marvin Harrison Jr. Remains Tight-Lipped on Cardinals Exit Ahead of Texans Debut

Marvin Harrison Jr. has opted to keep details of his departure from the Arizona Cardinals private, emphasizing his focus on his new role with the Houston Texans. Harrison, who was traded to the Texans over the weekend, stated on Wednesday that "a lot of factors" contributed to the situation in Arizona but declined to elaborate.

"I think it’s just a combination of everything," Harrison told reporters. "I don’t think I can pinpoint one thing. There’s a lot of factors, and I think with any situation, you always want to take accountability for yourself."

He added, "I think those things I’ll keep to myself, truthfully. What I learned in Arizona, I definitely learned a lot. But like I said, I’m really just looking forward."

Harrison, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 draft, had his role with the Cardinals diminish, recording only five catches in four games this season. He addressed questions about his commitment, stating, "Everybody has their own opinions. I know who I am as a player, I know who I am as a person. However people want to label or think of me, that’s their opinions."

He is set to make his debut with the Texans this Sunday in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The reunion with quarterback C.J. Stroud, his former teammate at Ohio State, is something Harrison anticipates.

"I think the team as a whole it’s a great situation for me," Harrison explained. "Being with a quarterback that you have rapport with and had success with in the past is always great too."

Harrison completed his first practice with the Texans on Wednesday.
