Martha Stewart, 85, recently sparked online buzz with a provocative Instagram post where she hinted at releasing her 'nudes.' The homemaking mogul shared a sultry selfie featuring pursed lips coated in gloss, captioned, 'I’ve been thinking about releasing my nudes.'
The post garnered attention from celebrities like Andy Cohen and Diplo, who encouraged her to share the photos. However, Stewart later clarified that her 'nudes' were not actual nude photographs but a clever marketing strategy to promote her new line of nude lip glosses under her skincare brand, Elm Biosciences.
In a follow-up video, Stewart demonstrated the lip gloss, explaining, 'My "nudes" are just a ploy, they are actually fabulous lip serums to wear day and night to keep your lips as lustrous and soft as your skin.'
This is not the first time Stewart has gone viral for her social media presence. Her most famous 'thirst trap' photo was taken in July 2020, featuring her in a black bathing suit at her East Hampton home.
Stewart has also recently discussed her approach to maintaining a youthful appearance. She revealed that she has been taking estrogen since she was 42, believing it has been 'very helpful' in keeping her young. She also admitted to receiving fillers from dermatologist Dr. Dan Belkin but denied ever having plastic surgery, stating she has no plans for more extensive cosmetic procedures.
She further attributes her glowing skin to facials from Mario Badescu and Georgia Louise, as well as the use of peptides.
