Marshall Manning, Son of Peyton Manning, Secures Four College Football Offers as Freshman
Despite limited playing time, the quarterback has attracted attention from multiple Division I programs.
Marshall Manning, the freshman son of NFL legend Peyton Manning, has already received four Division I college football scholarship offers, including from prominent programs like Miami and Ohio State. The quarterback for Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has seen limited playing time this season but has still garnered significant recruiting attention.
Manning recently saw meaningful action in Baylor's win over McCallie, playing the entire fourth quarter. During this time, he completed passes and led a scoring drive, though he also experienced a notable hit. He also played in Baylor's victory against Brentwood Academy, completing passes and contributing to the team's success.
Despite not yet throwing his first high school touchdown, Manning's offers come from Miami, Ohio State, Purdue, and Missouri State. The recruiting interest, tracked by 247 Sports, is seen as partly influenced by his family name, similar to the extensive recruitment of his cousin, Arch Manning.
The current landscape of college football, including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities and the transfer portal, is noted as a factor in early offers, allowing programs to secure potential recruits well in advance of their college enrollment, which for Manning is projected around 2030.
