Metropolitan Nashville Police Sgt. Stephen Holland, who was involved in an affair with a fellow officer that was filmed inside a middle school, offered critical remarks about other officers who he claimed had "tainted the badge." These comments were made in a podcast interview in August 2025, months after the investigation into his conduct had begun.
Holland, a SWAT veteran, told former Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf on the Cleared Hot podcast that "there are some guys that don’t do police work for the right reason. Their hearts are not in it. But mine is." He added that he was "just going to do the best" he could.
During the interview, Holland also stated that he and his wife had recently rediscovered their Christian faith. He described feeling that "the devil was trying to keep me from rekindling that relationship [with God]" and was encouraging his wife to do the same, noting they had begun taking their children to church.
The affair involved school resource officer Lisa Vidrios, 37. Vidrios resigned from the department after admitting to being intimate with Holland at least four times inside Madison Middle School in May 2025. The relationship was exposed when Vidrios' husband, also a member of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), discovered explicit videos on her phone.
One video showed Holland and Vidrios engaging in sexual activity on a couch in Vidrios' school office, with children inside the building and staff audible outside the door, according to public records. Another clip depicted them performing oral sex on each other inside a Metro Police vehicle, where they admitted to being intimate on at least two occasions while on duty. Text messages also indicated discussions about cameras in a school parking garage where at least one encounter occurred on April 16, 2025.
Vidrios and Holland were removed from their posts and lost police access on May 26, 2025, after authorities were alerted to the allegations. Holland was later granted an injured-on-duty pension in February 2026, which prevented investigators from interviewing him.
Holland is married to Tiffany Holland, a business development officer. Vidrios resigned following the investigation into the affair.
