Married At First Sight Star Sarah Roza Details Stalker Ordeal, Network Protection

Reality television personality Sarah Roza has detailed a frightening experience from 2012 involving four stalkers who sent her threatening letters, including one that stated an intent to 'chop her into pieces.' Roza, who appeared on The Amazing Race with then-boyfriend James Kingsbury, revealed that the threats escalated to the point where one stalker appeared at her home.

Following the incidents, Channel Seven arranged for Roza to be moved to a hotel for four months. "I have a lot of people try to find out where I am. I've had lots of problems with stalkers," Roza told the Daily Mail. "When I was on The Amazing Race, I had four stalkers."

Roza explained that three of the stalkers were male and one was female, with individuals from different states traveling to her location. "They found out where I lived. They turned up at my house. One was in my backyard," she recounted.

The network's publicist contacted Roza with instructions to pack a bag and her dog for immediate transport. She was subsequently housed at Crown Towers for the duration of the four-month period. "I couldn't tell anybody where I was," Roza said. "There was somebody who would take the dog regularly for walks."

Despite her need to remain hidden, Roza continued some publicity obligations. She stated that she never returned to her rental home, voiding the agreement and moving elsewhere. The stalkers continued to send mail, including presents and graphic threats. "I even got the old fashioned, 'I'm going to kill you and chop you into pieces,'" Roza recalled, noting these were four separate individuals.

She also described receiving ripped flowers and experiencing individuals following her into stores and learning her routine. "When I'd go for walks, they'd turn up," she said, attributing the behavior to a perceived closeness from viewers who liked her on television.

Although police investigated the threats and incidents, Roza's stalkers were never identified. She was forced to abandon her home and relocate. Roza, 47, is now known for her appearance on the fifth season of Married At First Sight in 2018. She was previously matched with Telv Williams on the series, but they separated shortly after the show concluded.

In a separate part of the interview, Roza discussed her current life, emphasizing a preference for peace and calm. She lives with her dog and finds fulfillment in her friendships and family, stating she is no longer interested in romantic relationships. "I have a lot of interest, but I'm not interested. I've built a life of pure calm and peace," she said.

Roza is scheduled to host events at Sxhibition in Melbourne from September 18 to 20, and later in the Gold Coast from April 30 to May 2. She described the role as hosting "either the pole dancer finals or the amateur strip tease finals," adding that the events aim to be educational and fun, focusing on health and wellness with a playful approach to sex appeal.
