Bec Zacharia, a participant on Married At First Sight, is planning additional cosmetic procedures, including facial treatments, following her recent rib contouring surgery in Bali. The 36-year-old reality star revealed her plans for a facial 'nip/tuck,' Botox, and filler treatments as part of a broader transformation after significant weight loss.
Zacharia underwent a procedure described as 'rib contouring' to alter her lower floating ribs, which she insists is not rib removal. She explained that the technique involves ultrasonically fracturing the ribs slightly and moving them inward, followed by a recovery period wearing a tightly fitted corset. Zacharia stated she wears the corset for approximately 23 hours a day and expects to continue this for 12 weeks.
The procedure gained widespread attention, which Zacharia noted was more intense than she anticipated. She emphasized that she consulted with other surgeons in Australia before making an informed decision to proceed with the Bali treatment and expressed satisfaction with the results.
Zacharia stated that her pursuit of cosmetic work is part of a personal journey following substantial weight loss, addressing changes such as loose skin and other physical alterations. She views these treatments as an investment in herself, inspired by advice from a friend in the reality television sphere.
"I just want to feel and look the best I've ever looked, and I think I owe it to myself," Zacharia said. She intends to remain transparent about any procedures she undergoes, believing influencers have a responsibility to disclose cosmetic enhancements rather than presenting them as natural. "The reality is that I'm always going to be honest and transparent about it," she stated.
Separately, Zacharia addressed her relationship with former co-star Gia Fleur. She declined an offer to reunite with Fleur for the MAFS Unleashed podcast, explaining that while they exchanged cordial messages and she congratulated Fleur on her pregnancy, she was uncomfortable with their apparent truce being promoted on social media.
Zacharia clarified that while she can maintain respect for Fleur and wish her well, their personalities are incompatible, and they will not be friends. She expressed happiness for Fleur's pregnancy and her relationship with Alan Wallace, but stated she prefers to maintain a respectful distance. Zacharia noted that they recently attended the same event but deliberately kept their interactions minimal.
