She admitted to feeling blindsided by the demands of her role as DI Emma Crane in the ITV crime drama "The Blame," which she accepted before the birth of Palma. She described the difficulty of long workdays, learning lines, and managing nighttime childcare, while acknowledging the crucial support from Wright, whom she called a "great partner" and "good dad." Despite having a strong support system from both their families, Keegan stated that the role of a working mother is exhausting, leaving her "absolutely shattered."
