Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, star of the quiz show The Chase, has confirmed his reconciliation with ex-girlfriend Hayley Palmer. The couple, who had an acrimonious split two years ago, have recently rekindled their relationship.

Labbett, 61, reportedly won Palmer, 45, back with gestures including Nando's meals, bingo dates, and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels valued at £700. The pair first sparked rumors of a reunion when Labbett shared a photograph of them together at Nando's. This occurred more than two years after Labbett ended their relationship via a phone call, an event Palmer described as leaving her "completely crushed."

Three months prior to their recent reunion, Labbett spotted Palmer at London's St Pancras Station and realized he had made a mistake in ending their relationship. He described the encounter, stating, "I was in London to do The Chase Around The World, and I thought I saw Hayley at St Pancras Station. We met for lunch, and it became obvious that we’d missed each other."

Palmer confirmed their renewed relationship, telling the Daily Mail on Wednesday, "Yes, we have been back together for three months now." The couple has been observed enjoying bingo dates, a new pastime for Palmer, and Labbett treated her to designer footwear. They recently took a break together at Hilton Syon Park.

The couple's initial relationship began in May 2023, following the dissolution of Labbett's marriage to Katie Labbett. Their romance reportedly ended a year later, with Palmer suggesting Labbett ended it because he "didn't want to divorce his ex-wife." Labbett, however, attributed their separation to his feeling "too old" for their differing lifestyles, with him preferring to stay in while Palmer enjoyed nights out.

Palmer had previously spoken about her struggles following the split, describing hitting "rock bottom" and seeking counseling. She indicated that her heightened emotions have since subsided, and both she and Labbett are now "the best versions of themselves." Labbett also commented on Palmer's physical fitness, noting she looks "ridiculously fit" following their reunion and their participation in fitness swimming sessions.

The couple is maintaining a low-key approach to their rekindled romance, choosing not to publicize it through media appearances. Previously, in November, Palmer had stated that they had moved past their split and were on good terms, describing themselves as "good mates." At that time, she was preparing to interview Labbett for a show, but the event was later canceled after Labbett pulled out due to unforeseen circumstances. Palmer had emphasized their intention to focus on Labbett's work rather than their past relationship during the interview.
