Mark Ruffalo Warns of 'Stealing' Elections, Urges Democrats to Fight Back

Actor Mark Ruffalo voiced strong opposition to former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party at a "Hands Off Our Vote" event in New York City on Sunday, accusing them of attempting to "steal" the midterm elections and urging Democrats to resist. Ruffalo warned that Republicans were trying to prevent Democrats from "taking our country back."

"We got to get this dumba---, fool a–, tired a--, lame a--, duck a– out of office. We got to make him a lame duck! We have to stop his policies now," Ruffalo stated, according to Variety. He further alleged that Trump "means everything he says" and is calling to expel Democrats from the country. The actor, referencing his Marvel Cinematic Universe character, added, "I’m going to Hulk out. You won’t like me when I’m angry."

Ruffalo encouraged attendees to remain engaged and brave, stating, "They’re going to do everything they can to make us feel small. They’re going to do everything they can to make us feel lost, to make it feel inevitable. It’s not inevitable! We’re inevitable — the truth is inevitable."

The Republican National Committee (RNC) responded to Ruffalo's remarks, with election integrity communications director Ally Triolo telling Fox News Digital that the actor was "clearly stuck in La La Land." Triolo asserted that voter ID and proof of citizenship are popular measures and that Democrats oppose "commonsense safeguards" because they fear losing elections when voting is made easier and cheating is made harder.

A White House spokesperson, Davis Ingle, also criticized Ruffalo's comments, calling them "disgusting lies" and attributing them to "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

In other recent comments, Ruffalo expressed disappointment over a federal judge's approval of Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, a deal he had vocally opposed. He described the outcome as "incredibly disappointing" but vowed that the grassroots movement against such deals would continue, framing it as a fight against powerful individuals disregarding public interest for personal gain.
