Marissa Ayers Postpones Move to New Apartment to Care for Injured Giants Quarterback Jaxson Dart
Ayers, girlfriend of Giants QB Jaxson Dart, secures her first solo apartment but will prioritize assisting Dart during his recovery from knee surgery.
Marissa Ayers, girlfriend of New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, has secured the keys to her first solo apartment in the New York area but will be delaying her move to assist Dart as he recovers from season-ending knee surgery.
Ayers, who is a model and influencer, announced the acquisition of her new living space in a TikTok video. She had been planning this move for over a year, having graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2025 and subsequently living out of a suitcase. "I’m going to pick up the keys to my very first apartment," Ayers said in the video. "I’m living alone for the first time. This is crazy."
Despite her plans to move, Ayers stated that her move-in would not occur this month. Instead, she intends to gradually furnish the apartment and spend time there while focusing on Dart's recovery. "I’m really going to be with Jax a lot because with his injury he had surgery this month, and he really needs that extra helping hand," she explained. "So I want to be there for him and I want to take care of him. And that’s just something I feel in my heart. We take care of each other, and that’s just what we do."
Ayers had initially decided to move last December, two months after meeting Dart. However, she instead traveled with the quarterback during the NFL offseason, spending time in California and Hawaii. "He basically goes to California in the offseason to train, so from Feb to April I was in California with him," she said. "It was a new relationship, so I just wanted to do everything together."
She described the past spring and summer as "some of the best months of my life" and stated that her apartment plans were put aside to be present in the moment and "say yes to everything."
Dart underwent surgery on September 25 to repair damage to his meniscus and medial collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Giants' loss to the Los Angeles Rams on September 21. The Giants currently hold a 3-1 record and are scheduled to play the Commanders on Sunday.
Ayers and Dart confirmed their relationship on social media in January and made their first red carpet appearance together at the NFL Honors ceremony in February.
