Margaret Qualley was photographed Wednesday in Jersey City, New Jersey, for the first time since news of her separation from musician Jack Antonoff became public. The actress, 31, was engaged in filming a scene for the upcoming movie “Possession.”
During the filming, Qualley was seen running through the streets and jumping over restaurant booths near Hamilton Park. She was dressed in an all-black ensemble, including a sweater, skirt, tights, and ballet flats, with her hair pulled back in a long braid.
"Possession," a remake of the 1981 film, also features actors Callum Turner, Paul Dano, and Diego Calva. Qualley appeared solo in the scene captured.
This filming comes after Qualley completed shooting for “King Snake” in Arkansas in June. Her absence from Taylor Swift’s wedding in New York City on July 3, during which Antonoff was present, had previously fueled speculation about the couple's relationship status.
Page Six confirmed earlier this month that Qualley and Antonoff, 42, had ended their relationship after three years. A source close to the couple stated that they are navigating the separation with "love and kindness" and that rumors of infidelity are untrue. The source added that "sometimes, these things just don’t work, and it doesn’t need to be for any dramatic reason."
Another source indicated that the couple experienced communication "challenges," suggesting that Antonoff could be particular about how he preferred things done, and Qualley sometimes felt her perspective was not equally considered. The pair began dating in the summer of 2021, became engaged in Paris the following year, and married in New Jersey in August 2023.
