Former NFL defensive end and sportscaster Marcellus Wiley was arrested Saturday in Orlando, Florida, on a domestic battery charge, according to an arrest affidavit. His wife, Annemarie Wiley, who appeared on Season 13 of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” called police to report a battery after an alleged altercation in a hotel room.

The couple’s three children were present in the room when police arrived. Annemarie Wiley told officers she wanted her husband removed because she was afraid of him after he allegedly threatened her life and stated she plans to divorce him. According to the affidavit, she claimed that the previous morning, Wiley stood over her and “used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek” in front of their 7-year-old daughter. She also alleged a history of past violence toward her.

Marcellus Wiley denied to police that a physical altercation occurred in the hotel room, stating he never got physical with his wife. He presented text messages to officers that he described as cordial between himself and his wife. Wiley told police he was in the hotel room taking care of the children.

This is not the first time Wiley has faced accusations of misconduct. In May, a story published by Rolling Stone reported that four women had previously accused him of sexual assault. He denied those allegations on his podcast, claiming he had evidence to counter the accusations. He was also previously sued by three individuals alleging rape during his time at Columbia University.
