Seattle police have launched a manhunt for two individuals who BASE jumped from the Space Needle, an act that occurred on Friday evening. The two unidentified men are facing trespassing charges after they allegedly climbed over the glass wall of the 605-foot structure and parachuted to the ground.

According to the City of Seattle Police Department, the men, described as white males in their late 20s, purchased tickets and entered the Space Needle shortly before 9 p.m. local time. Security footage indicates that they entered a restroom at the top of the structure, changed into BASE jumping equipment, including helmets, and then proceeded to the observation deck.

Security personnel at the time were reportedly unsure of the jumpers' landing location. Detectives from the General Investigation Unit are currently handling the case, though no further updates were available as of Sunday.

Video footage of the incident, which circulated on TikTok, appears to show the individuals scaling the building's walls before leaping off.

This incident follows a similar event in New York City weeks prior, where a couple was arrested after scaling the Empire State Building. Influencers Angela Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov were apprehended after their stunt atop the landmark gained significant attention.
