Manchester United plans to reject any transfer bids for captain Bruno Fernandes before the upcoming transfer deadline, according to club sources. This stance comes amid reports that Turkish club Galatasaray was preparing to submit an offer for the 31-year-old midfielder.

Earlier reports suggested Galatasaray was considering a bid that could reach a final fee of 50 million euros (approximately £42.7 million). However, sources at Old Trafford have communicated that any such attempts would be futile. While the club did allow Fernandes to consider a substantial offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal last summer, leading him to admit feeling "hurt" by the stance at the time, their position is now firm.

Club officials stated that no bids have been received for Fernandes thus far, but emphasized that he is not available for sale at any price. Fernandes has one year remaining on his current contract, with an option for an additional season, and it is understood he prefers to remain with the club. A release clause in his contract, previously set at £57 million, has now expired.

Despite the strong negotiating position, the positive reception Fernandes received from supporters during a recent pre-season match in Dublin would likely amplify any negative reaction to a potential sale. Fernandes recorded a Premier League record 21 assists last season and is considered a favorite for the PFA Player of the Year award for the 2025-26 season.
