Mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham has proposed the establishment of a 'No10 North' in Manchester as a central hub for a decentralized government approach. Burnham stated that this northern office would serve as the 'nerve centre' for his 'Manchesterism' initiative, aiming to transfer power and financial resources to the North, East, and Midlands of England.

However, Kemi Badenoch, a government minister, has expressed skepticism regarding Burnham's proposal. Badenoch commented that Burnham "doesn't understand what he's talking about" and accused him of attempting to "bribe voters" in the North. The effectiveness of such a decentralized model in improving the lives of voters in the region remains a subject of public discussion.
