A 21-year-old man was stabbed Monday evening in Midtown Manhattan following an argument with another individual. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of West 50th Street and Fifth Avenue, in close proximity to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The dispute escalated when the assailant stabbed the victim in the arm and torso. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene in a black BMW.
Emergency medical services transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. As of the latest information, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
This incident follows another violent event that occurred less than a block away on West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue earlier the same day. In that separate incident, a 49-year-old woman fatally stabbed a 32-year-old woman and critically injured a 68-year-old man before being shot and killed by police.
