A man has been sentenced to three years in prison, suspended for three years, for hurling glass bottles at a moving police car and damaging its windscreen. Mark Fraser, 40, was responding to a call in Aberdare, South Wales, when the incident occurred. The officer driving the vehicle stated that the damage rendered the car unusable for responding to emergencies and that Fraser's actions could have caused serious harm.

In addition to the suspended sentence, he was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and pay over £6,000 in compensation. The South Wales Police noted that the incident caused approximately £900 in damages and highlighted that danger can arise unexpectedly, even as officers perform their duties.
